Please note that a non-refundable convenience fee of $2.00 will be added to most transactions made through the MyDMV Portal. Orders cannot be cancelled after they have been placed.

Florida drivers should use caution to ensure they do not fall victim to any irreputable third-party service provider using deception to charge undisclosed or exorbitated fees. When using the official renewal site of FLHSMV, the department charges a $2 convenience fee applied to the total transaction.

Did you know FLHSMV has expanded its services online available using the MyDMV Portal? In addition to renewing and replacing your license, Florida ID card or registration, there are many other improved features. For example, you can clear most insurance suspensions, pay reinstatement fees, purchase and print your driver record, obtain a clearance letter and subscribe to receive email notifications.

Certain Conditions:

You may not use the MyDMV Portal for online Florida driver license renewals, replacements, or address changes if:

  • Your license is currently revoked, suspended or cancelled
  • Your current license states "Valid without Photograph or Signature"
  • You are a CDL license holder
  • Your current license has a C, D, P or S restriction
  • You have previously renewed on-line, by mail or by phone two consecutive times
  • You are a non-U.S. citizen or a non-immigrant
  • Your Florida license expired more than 12 months ago
  • You hold a "Valid in FL Only" license
  • Your license record is flagged as "Wanted"
  • You are a registered sex offender/predator/career offender
  • You failed a vision exam
  • You have pending sanctions on an out of state license
  • You are over 89 years old

You may not use the MyDMV Portal to request original or renewal Florida Identification cards if:

  • You are a non-U.S. citizen or a non-immigrant
  • You hold a "Valid in FL Only" license
  • You are a registered sex offender/predator/career offender
  • Your license record is flagged as "Wanted"
  • Your current license states "Valid without Photograph or Signature"

What To Bring:

  • Proof of lawful presence in the United States
  • Proof of your date of birth
  • Proof of social security number
  • Proof of Florida residency (2 forms required)
  • Payment for REAL ID ($25) plus any additional surcharges and local tax
