As temperatures rise, the White House launched a new extreme heat website.

According to the site, heat.gov, more than 39 million people in the United States face extreme heat alerts when it launched in late July 2022.

Heat.gov is a collaboration of NIHHIS Federal partners, which include the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response, Environmental Protection Agency, Federal Emergency Management Agency, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, Department of Veterans Affairs, Forest Service, National Park Service, Department of Health and Human Services, National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
